Expels Wind, alleviates pain. Used for Wind Cold with headache. Used for pain affecting the Yang Ming channels in the head. Reduces swelling, expels pus. Expels Dampness, especially in the lower jiao. Opens the nasal passages.

Contraindications/precautions:
Contraindicated in deficient Yin or Blood patterns.
