Uses: Drains Heat and moves the stool, used for fever, sweating, thirst, constipation, abdominal distension and pain, Yang Ming organ stage (Shan Han Lung). Drains Damp-Heat in dysenteric disorders. Clears Heat from the Blood. Invigorates the blood and breaks up Blood Stasis. Used for Hot, swollen eyes and topically for burns.

Contraindications:
Contraindicated in Exterior conditions, in cases of qi deficiency, Stomach and Spleen Cold. To be used with caution during pregnancy, contraindicated during lactation.
