Properties: Acrid, Bitter, Salty, Very Cold

Channels entered: Stomach, Large Intestine

Uses: Drains Heat and moves the stool, used for Heat in the Stomach and Intestine. Moistens Dryness. Clears Heat and reduces swelling. Used for swollen eyes, sore throat, ulcers.

Contraindications:
Contraindicated in cases not showing excess Heat and in Spleen qi deficiency. Contraindicated in pregnancy, post-partum and during menstruation.
