Clears Heat and Cools the Blood. Used for Hemorrhage due to Heat entering the Blood level. Nourishes Yin and fluids. Cools Heart Fire. Used for mouth ulcers, irritability, low-grade fevers and malar flush. Used for Wasting & Thirsting syndrome.

Contraindications/precautions:
Contraindicated in Phlegm-Damp patterns, yang deficiency and during pregnancy for women with deficient Blood, Spleen or Stomach.
