Class Descriptions

There are many styles of yoga that emphasise different aspects of its practice, and we often get asked what style we do at Sanctuary Health. The short answer is Hatha. However our ‘style’ is informed by a number of principles that we think lend to a safe, intuitive and empowering practice:

  • Breath as the foundation of all movement

  • Connection to Centre

  • Movement from the inside out

  • Fluidity and openness

  • Stability and connection to the earth

Level One

This class is suitable for beginners or for those wanting a gentler practice. The Level One class is designed to help you inquire into your own body’s uniqueness and work with it constructively using specific movement principles.

Level Two
This class builds on movement principles established in Level One and offers the opportunity to further develop strength and fluidity of movement through more physically challenging postures and sequences.
